Braylon Edwards and University Of Arkansas Hog Superman shirt . were all acquired by the Jets within a 16-month span. They were coached by Rex Ryan. Mark Sanchez was there too. I feel like there’s a 30 for 30 to be had here. I don’t think you fully appreciate how versatile Suggs is. We can probably find a younger 3-4 OLB who can rush the passer better, or play the run better, or drop into coverage better, but not someone who can do all three of those things at nearly the level of Sizzle. A large part of the reason our hybrid defense worked so well is that Suggs is basically a great 4-3 end duct taped to a great off-ball linebacker. As a fellow AFC north fan, this is sad to see, I loved the old rivalry that there used to be. Maybe the young guys can start it up again, but nothing will compare in my opinion. The mid to late 2000’s games we’re always must-watch games for me. I think those will be the last of the true physical games with the way the NFL is headed. For better or worse will be determined, but the physicality and anger those games were played with will be something. I always will remember. Definition “Mans Game”. Like I said above…maybe it was just a little bit of everything….only a 1-year deal….make some money near your home, closer to the next stage on your life, lots of turnover in Baltimore.
