I think he goes high due to his feel for his pitches and no major mechanical issues in his delivery. If a team can harness his control a bit, he’s an absolute steal. Kirby might be the only pitcher I’d make an exception for with 1st selection. He has a high floor and if he were with the Reds or Cards, he’d probably be looking at a summer 2020 promotion to MLB. At any rate, looks like a guy who can be fast-tracked. Kelly is most likely a 2nd/3rd round talent but its not like these things are set in stone and rankings to have almost always been wrong so there’s definitely a chance he goes up to Comp.
