Product Description

Something tells me that this Mexican Day Of The Dead Sugar Skulls shirt . is going to be a whole another experience for the non-NA folks than it is for the NA audience. Just look at the reviews from Venice & TIFF screenings, such a huge disconnect. Exactly. They aren’t giving the film a fair chance by criticizing for what it is – they are criticizing it for what other people might do because of it. It’s not the first time a dark cynical film is made. The silence of the Lambs got 5 Oscars, Fight Club exists, V for Vendetta exists. There are so many cynical films out there, which stood the test of time despite getting butchered by critics at the time of their release.

People are acting as if Joker’s the first gritty Mexican Day Of The Dead Sugar Skulls shirt . that’s also a commentary on society and that it’ll somehow unnerve psychos to run in the streets and do horrible stuff – it won’t. I’ll reserve judgment until I see the movie, but the previews are giving me major Taxi Driver vibes. That movie absolutely did not celebrate Bickle, but instead was a fantastic character study at what might drive someone on the edge over the deep end to committing acts of violence and the fact the audience can see the farce of how he is celebrated in the film vs what his original motivation was framed it perfectly. The silence of the Lambs in no way celebrated Lecter, he was pretty terrifying actually. Maybe the mixed reviews are just a sign of the times of people being oversensitive, or maybe legit concern as the frequency of mass shootings and increased polarized. Tension within general society makes like this far less comfortable than it might have been in the past. We’ll see once it is released… Have you read any of the mixed reviews? They’re different than the people fear-mongering over the movie. Some critics just think the movie is not very good, calling it one note and hollow (which it may or may not be). You bring up Taxi Driver… a movie written by one of the greatest American screenwriters and directed by Scorsese. I’m sure Todd Phillips raised the bar for this movie, but it also wouldn’t surprise me if he fumbled the fuck out of this kind of movie. I also obviously haven’t seen the movie but it seems like the critics’ beef might also just be that it isn’t as gracefully handled or complex as Taxi Driver
