In a sense, yes, Goats is less skill dependent, so a lot of times luck play a bigger part (when did bombs hit someone, rein’s shield didn’t cover someone enough etc). On the other hand, Shanghai is actually pretty stacked and a completely different team this season. Not the point of my post. I shouldn’t have used Shanghai in my example cause that made it confusing. My point is that everyone is beating everyone in this stage so far. It’s more chaotic. But last season teams rarely beat anyone that was more than a couple of spots above them. You missed the point of my post. I wasn’t talking about the Shanghai win today. Outlaws didn’t throw today, simple as that. Plus spark got completely outsmarted today. Highly recommend you watch the Anubis game. It was filthy how smart Houston was. I’m talking about this stage so far where a team looks great one match but then lose the next match vs a team that looked awful before. Just look at all the paper scissors chains that are already created. Last season felt easier to predict games just by looking at the standings. The stats before the matches today showed how much of a battery Coolmatt is. He had 1400 more damage output than Spree, but Spree had something like 22 elims to Coolmatt’s 9 or 12 or something. It was huge. So I just got home from a night out and see Houston up 3-0. Could anyone give me a quick summary as to how that happened? Spark has looked great week 1 so far and Outlaws not so much. Outlaws prepared and made really good roster choices. They had strategies prepared that caught Spark off guard.
