Actually Yes I Am Old But I Saw Lynyrd Skynyrd On Stage T-Shirt . we did one scene in Modern Family that was pretty funny, and we even mentioned the Gracies too. In the scene, I was trying to teach my son, who’s gay, how to fight because he had a problem and asked me for help. So I said that there’s one choke that the Gracie Brothers use, it’s called the Mata Leao, the Lion Killer. And so I spun him around and he was struggling. And I ended up choking him out by accident. This was all part of the script of course. I had to find the balance of having it look right, but not actually choking him. It was fun. On a serious note, as a 7-year practitioner of BJJ, learning how to apply a choke in away.

Probably a solid 12-18 months depending on how many days per week you train Yes I Am Old But I Saw Lynyrd Skynyrd On Stage T-Shirt . Police should not be able to apply ANY chokeholds or joint locks. Until they’ve had much more training than they get now. The training they get now on chokes and joint-locks is more like. I apply them damn near-nightly. I have put people to sleep on several occasions who we’re too stubborn to tap. It literally takes 10 seconds or less when applied correctly. I quickly let go once they were asleep. Put them in a recovery position, and we’re awake inside if 20 seconds every time. Any cop who kills someone from a chokehold held onto it too damn long because they WANTED to kill them. Choke holds can kill in a number of different ways. Yes, having an ‘expert’ apply them to healthy young people in a sparring/training session is one thing but with older people, the less healthy, or those with underlying health conditions you can see outcomes like stroke, heart attack, embolism. Not just asphyxiation or lack of blood to the brain. Plus, if you’re fighting MMA you’re likely doing them correctly. Interrupting carotid blood supply briefly, which is why you may think they are “safe” or at least safer than they are being made out to be. Cops, historically at least, didn’t do this. They went flashlight over. Flat arm across the neck, not the “V” of a good rear-naked choke. Big difference.
