Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 Release Date Accidentally Revealed

Ahead of the game’s expected announcements at this year’s Game Awards, the release date for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor made its way online.

Season 3 of The Mandalorian isn’t the only new Star Wars content fans can expect in the coming months, with new material on the way in the video game sphere as well.

As Mando and Grogu’s third season unfolds on Disney+, Cal Kestis’ next chapter is set to be explored in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the sequel game to 2019’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Back in May, fans got a first look at what Jedi: Survivor has in store at Star Wars Celebration.

And now, out ahead of The Game Awards, those same fans now know when to expect Jedi: Survivor to release.

Jedi: Survivor Date Release Date Revealed

According to a date that had been posted on Steam, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is expected to release on March 15, 2023.

This supports reports that a major IP game would be released in early 2023, as well as claims that the sequel game was still “on track for that March release date.”

The game’s release date is expected to be officially announced at The Game Awards on Thursday, December 8, along with a pre-order date and a new trailer.

A Bounty of Cal Kestis Content in 2023

If March 8 is the release date for Jedi: Survivor, the game won’t be the only Cal Kestis content released that week.

Star Wars also has Star Wars Jedi: Battle Scars, a book set between the events of Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor, releasing on March 7.

So, in the 24 hours leading up to the game’s debut, the Star Wars fan base will have some homework to do, especially since the book cover features the Inquisitor known as the Fifth Brother.

And, interestingly enough, audiences are still debating as to whether that formidable Pau’an in the game trailer is, in fact, the Grand Inquisitor.

Since both villains have worked together, and most recently in live-action in Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jedi: Battle Scars may prove to be required reading for the game itself.

As for the game’s other mysteries – particularly that mysterious figure in the bacta tank – more is likely to be revealed in the game’s next trailer in the coming days.

Overall, it’s looking like Star Wars fans have a bounty of content to look forward to in March 2023 with plenty of news and reveals to tide audiences over between now and then.
